All the cool kids are doing it -- no not
anal piercing, but commenting on the fucktard Bush's plans for Iraq. Rather than post something insightful and intelligent, I felt this was a good opportunity to wheel out Jarvis. I think he says it better than I can.
smash the system.
Does he mean Cunts like jerks of the world, or does he mean Cunts are running the world, like women and their vaginas in a concerted effort.
ReplyDeleteDr. Kenneth: I'm pretty sure he means as in "jerks"
ReplyDeleteThat's what I assumed, but the latter is kind of an interesting concept, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteNice blog,Jay,and great choice of song! It's so incredably sad that all that collection of dispotism, injustice, abuse and violence is a realistic depiction of the world we live in.
ReplyDeletePS:Dr Kenneth:that analogy is meaningless and,quite frankly,disgusting-wise up.
They are indeed. Unfortunately psychosis seems to be an essential ingredient of political success.
ReplyDeleteDr Kenneth: I'm sure there are people who would happily assert that is the real "truth", and I paused for a second to wonder if the song was a double-meaning, but it wouldn't hold up to scrutiny.
ReplyDeleteIvonne: Thank you for your compliments, and it is a deceptively sad song -- but then again, perhaps realising what's wrong is the first step to putting things right? Also, I don't think Dr Kenneth meant any offence -- he was genuinely clarifying which was meant, and we shouldn't confuse a question with a personal belief.
Baron Hashbrown: Who was it that said "Whoever is capable of getting himself elected as president should on no account be allowed to do the job"?
how do I love thee Jarvis, let me count the ways... He always manages to capture the moment in an appropriately controversial straight talking way :)

Ha. That is rather grand.
ReplyDelete♥
Jarvis rocks!! He'd make an awesome President.
ReplyDeleteDr Kenneth: no, it's not really interesting at all. Ivonne, I'm with you :P
ReplyDeleteVery wise indeed,Jay.Apologies:I shouldn't have made such an assumption--however,it's hard to deciper a statement without knowing the person behind it..guess that's why we feel the right to openly impeach Mr Bush 'cause we've seen his policies at work before and, man,am I feeling enraged and worried.Totally with you re acknowledgement of a problem is the first step towards its resolution--if,of course, change is what one is after.
ReplyDeleteM: He's about the only person I know that does it so well -- mixing the controversial, foul-mouthed and angry with a certain sardonic humour. Viva the Jarv.
ReplyDeleteAbbey: Jarvis is a national hero :)
Steph: You're damn right! But president of where?
MadameBoffin: I don't think he meant any offence.
Ivonne: You make an interesting point, I have no qualms with judging plenty of people whom I don't truly know, and perhaps this does include Bush. It certainly bears some thought. As for the state of the world... I think we have to try not to become too overwhelmed.
